Ketta is a major character in the Nickelodeon animated comedy series Breadwinners. Ketta is a master mechanic, the Breadwinners go to her when they need upgrades or repairs to the Rocket Van. Ketta is the fourth character with the most appearances in the show. She is voiced by Kari Wahlgren.

Biography

From the press website:

"She’s SwaySway and Buhdeuce’s good friend – and super energetic ace mechanic! Ketta fixes up the Rocket Van when it’s busted and gives it sweet new mods. This hyperactive daredevil loves to zip around on her rocket skates. Swan, yes. Graceful, no."

Appearance

Ketta is an anthro swan (she has shown characteristics of a goose) that wears a purple helmet with a darker-colored stripe down the middle, has white feathers, red hair and a yellow beak. The lines around her eyes are thicker than the other characters'. She is slimmer and wears a yellow tracksuit with a purple collar, a yellow zipper and purple kneepads. She also wears purple wristbands and boots with orange rollerblades on the bottom part. She is shorter than SwaySway and taller than Buhdeuce.

Personality

Ketta is very intelligent and can build machines within seconds. For some reasons, however when she tries to help it isn't all that helpful. In Space Ducks it's proven that despite her daredevil personality she has a protective side for SwaySway.

In "Substitute Breadwinner" she shows off, but sympathizes with SwaySway when he's jealous of her.

Relationships

SwaySway and Buhdeuce

Ketta will help SwaySway and Buhdeuce with any problems that involves the rocket van, she is their personal mechanic. As revealed in the episode "Rocket Trouble", she could work and improve the rocket van very fast so SwaySway and Buhdeuce could deliver their bread on time, but usually the new improvements to the rocket van will cause trouble for SwaySway and Buhdeuce and the van would crash in a fiery pile of rubble. Whenever the rocket van is down or broken, SwaySway and Buhdeuce will bring whatever is left of the van to Ketta's garage and she'll fix it right up. She complimented the two ducks' excellent dining service in the episode "Diner Ducks".

In Substitute Breadwinner, SwaySway seems to be jealous of Ketta.

Breadbots

In the episode Rocket Trouble, Ketta creates robotic doubles of SwaySway and Buhdeuce named B2D2 and Sway3PO. They were going to assist SwaySway and Buhdeuce in their job, but quickly tell them they are replacing them as Breadwinners. When SwaySway and Buhdeuce attempt to fight back, the Breadbots enter "extermination mode". At the end of the episode, the Breadbots are destroyed when they are tricked into "delivering" a loaf of bread to one of the volcanoes near Ketta's Auto-Tune Up.

Poltergoose

In the episode “Poltergoose”, Ketta and the Breadwinners saw Poltergoose as a nuisance to the point they needed to eradicate him for causing mayhem and trouble. Near the end of the episode Poltergoose manages to possess Ketta’s roller skates and uses them to beat her up and try to throw her into a pit of lava. Luckily the Breadwinners manage to remove Ketta’s roller skates from her feet and later on the three of them throw the roller skates into a volcano, ending Poltergoose.

Buttermilk

Buttermilk is Ketta's pet dinosaur, she is mostly shown to act like a dog because Ketta usually treats her like one. In one episode, Ketta invented a remote and a cap for Buttermilk to wear so Ketta can control into doing cool tricks such as rolling over, doing a backflip and finally turning inside out.

Trivia

  • She was never seen without her helmet.
  • Her voice actress and Zoona's voice actress both appeared in Fairly Odd Parents as Timmy Turner and Chloe Carmichael.
  • Despite losing her roller skates in "Poltergoose", she somehow regains them.
  • A running gag is Ketta having smelly feet.
    • Since her shoes stink to high heaven, she never takes them off – Ketta never washes her feet and shoes. Nevertheless, she sometimes wants to take them off to air her feet, but because of their strong stench she doesn't it.
      • It's possible that's why she reappears with new skates after the episode "Poltergoose", as she couldn't stand the smell of her smelly feet, but that may not be true.
